We have entry level electronics, and there are vehicles out there designed for price conscious customers. But an “entry level” Lamborghini? Those words don’t really make sense together, but that’s precisely what the newest Lamborghini Huracán is meant to be. Coming in at $170,000 and making its public debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the Huracán is essentially the kid brother to the Aventador, which we got a brief glimpse of last year. Trust us, it was brief; if you stare too long your eyes might melt.
While the Aventador is certainly a beautiful vehicle, the younger and more streamlined Huracán might actually look better. Maybe it’s the screaming yellow paint job, or the bright lights on the show floor, but the Huracán looked absolutely stunning. It looks decidedly like a Lamborghini, representing the brand perfectly with no unnecessary flourishes; it looks like it came speeding out of a science fiction novel.
The Huracán sports a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10, good for 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque, with an estimated 0-60 in about 3.2 seconds. If you ever find a long (and safe enough) stretch of road, you can expect to top out at about 202 mph.
Imagine how beautiful the Huracán will look flying down the highway at max speed. Granted, it’ll merely be a yellow blur of incredibly machinery, but this isn’t something you want to push to its limits. A Lambo is something you want to cruise in by the beach on a sunny day. Who wouldn’t want to drive around in a car this gorgeous? Lamborghini expects the Huracán to go on sale this summer.
