Sem grandes novidades em seu estande, a Ford apostou em um conceito da nova F-150, o veículo mais vendido dos Estados Unidos. Mesmo em uma picape média-grande, a Ford investiu na aerodinâmica. A parte inferior do para-choque é ativa e muda as entradas de ar dependendo da velocidade. O motor ainda não foi detalhado – a fabricante se limitou a dizer que será da família EcoBoost com start/stop. Para melhorar a visibilidade, existem câmaras que rodeiam todo o carro e projetam as imagens na tela central do painel.
Honda Urban SUV Concept
A Ford puxou a fila com o EcoSport em 2003. Hoje, todo mundo parece querer um pedaço do segmento de utilitários compactos. A Honda vai entrar na disputa com o modelo de produção que o conceito Urban SUV Concept vai gerar. Feito na plataforma do Fit, ele vai se situar abaixo do CR-V na linha da fabricante japonesa quando entrar em fabricação no ano que vem. Ele será feito no México onde o atual CR-V é feito, mas existem especulações sobre a sua produção no Brasil também.
Hyundai HCD-14
O conceito da Hyundai é um dos mais interessantes do Salão de Detroit 2013. O desenho antecipa a nova identidade visual da marca, com menos vincos e reentrâncias na carroceria. O face-lift foi discreto e se resumiu a novos faróis, grade e lanternas. Mecanicamente o grande destaque é a introdução de uma transmissão automática de seis velocidades que aposenta a antiga CVT. A reestilização do utilitário chega ao Brasil no fim do ano.
Jeep Grand Cherokee – A atual geração do Grand Cherokee foi um dos principais alicerces da reestruturação da Chrysler em todo o mundo. Agora, a Jeep promove um pequeno face-lift para manter o interesse no modelo. Dianteira e traseira ganharam novos conjuntos óticos e os motores foram renovados. No interior o jipão ganhou uma tela de LCD no lugar do painel de instrumentos. Ainda há um novo V6 diesel com 58 kgfm de torque. A importação para o Brasil ainda não foi confirmada. É esperado que o novo utilitário desembarque por aqui só em 2014.
Maserati Quattroporte
A Maserati usou o Salão de Detroit para apresentar a sexta geração do seu superesportivo. Além do visual completamente repaginado, o novo Quattroporte estreia dois motores totalmente novos. O V6 tem 410 cv de potência e 58,0 kgfm de torque enquanto o V8 gera 530 cv e 66,1 kgfm. No mais forte, o sedã cumpre o zero a 100 km/h em apenas 4,7 segundos. Há opção de tração integral e traseira para o novo Quattroporte.
Mercedes-Benz CLA
É um dos grandes lançamentos da Mercedes no ano. Mesmo assim, a marca alemã preferiu esconder o CLA do público norte-americano – um dos alvos declarados do sedã. Ele não será exposto no Salão e foi apresentado apenas em uma prévia para jornalistas e em uma sala separada do Cobo Hall. Mesmo assim, deixou ótima impressão. O design é esportivo e inspirado no CLS, mas com mais fluidez. A aerodinâmica é um ponto forte. De acordo com a Mercedes, o coeficiente aerodinâmico é de 0,22 cx, o menor entre todos os carros de produção em série no mundo. O motor tem 211 cv e a transmissão tem dupla embreagem. O CLA chega ao Brasil em 2013 e ainda existe a possibilidade de ele ser produzido em solo nacional nos próximos anos.
Mercedes-Benz Classe E – Quatro anos depois do lançamento da atual geração, a Mercedes promoveu um face-lift de meia vida no seu sedã médio-grande. O carro perde os faróis duplos, mas ganha duas opções diferentes de grade. No topo da linha fica a versão E63 AMG com seu V8 de 585 cv. A maior inovação, no entanto, é o uso da tração integral pela primeira vez em um modelo preparado pela AMG. Tanto o sedã executivo como sua versão esportiva chegam ao Brasil ainda em 2013.
Mini Paceman JCW – É a primeira variação do mais novo modelo da linha da Mini. A Nissan renovou a versão norte-americana do Versa, conhecido como Tiida no mercado brasileiro. O modelo ficou inegavelmente mais agradável de se olhar. Faróis dianteiros e grade se integram para fazer um desenho interessante. O porte do carro agora está mais semelhante ao de um Honda Fit, com teto elevado. A unidade exibida no estande da Nissan estava equipada com um motor 1.6 de 109 cv e transmissão do CVT.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S – O Turbo S é simplesmente o Cayenne mais potente da história. Ele mantém o V8 biturbo de 4.8 litros, mas com potência elevada em 50 cv para atingir 550 cv. O conceito é mais comprido e largo que o atual Corolla e ainda tem maior distância entre eixos – 2,70 m.
Toyota RAV4 – É a quarta geração do utilitário da Toyota que, mesmo sem grandes revoluções no design, ficou mais moderno e mais parrudo. Apesar da renovação estética, o RAV4 mantém sob o capô o mesmo motor 2.5 do modelo anterior com 176 cv junto a uma nova transmissão automática de seis velocidades. Volkswagen CrossBlue
A Volkswagen lançou no Salão de Detroit um conceito que vai dar origem ao seu maior utilitário. Com foco exclusivo para o mercado norte-americano e canadense, o SUV tem no espaço interno o seu principal atributo. São seis lugares individuais que conseguem levar seis adultos de maneira confortável. O conjunto motriz é híbrido, composto por um motor diesel de 2 litros e dois elétricos. No final, são 305 cv e impressionantes 71,3 kgfm de torque. Assim, o CrossBlue atinge os 100 km/h em 7,2 segundos e consegue ser movido apenas pelos propulsores elétricos até 22,5 km.
